Hi,

I’m Dominic, I Iive in a remote part of Andalusia called Ardales and when I Occasionally manage to do one of the hundreds of trips I always imagine myself doing more often, or I meet someone else, and I enjoy it, I will write about it here 😉

I’m an Englishman who has lived longer in North Germany than in England which makes me northern european or anglo saxon I suppose. When I was a teenager I spent a couple of wonderful, crazy years in Andalusia and it has been a part of my heart since then. Obviously it reminds me of freedom, no responsibilities, no worrys, sun and fun.

But not just that:

Andalusia reminds me of the history of Humankind, of wars, nations rising, conquering each other, ruling the world and dissapering again. Religions sending troops to force there view of love, peace and submision on other cultures.

Spain reminds me also of wine, Grapes, Olive oil, fish, horses and proud men and women. It reminds me of vastness, of the rising of mountains millions of years ago as the earth’s tectonic plates crashed together creating continents and leaving us with impressive gorges, rough mountains, rolling hills, flat lands and the mediteranean sea.

What sort of things can you expect me to blog about here?

Well – the blog is goint to be about enjoyment and not about how awful something was or how it didnt work – you can expect the subjects of the blog to mostly be about things I personaly enjoy:

Citys, People, Food, Walks, Culture, Restaurants, Bars, Parties, Nature, Sporty things, Adventures, Siteseeing and interesting Characters
